Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer in-person or online therapy?
I currently offer both in-person and telehealth therapy sessions over video for those in the State of California. Learn more about my services.
How much does it cost?
My fee is $200 for a 50-minute session, but I also offer a number of openings at a sliding scale for those with limited resources.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, I am currently an in-network provider for Aetna. For those with different insurance with out-of-network coverage, I can provide a superbill to submit to insurance for reimbursement if eligible.
How long should I expect to be in therapy?
While this will usually depend on the person and the particular issues they are working on, research has shown that most people see positive changes after about 6 months of therapy. So while many may see helpful changes much sooner, I would encourage anyone just starting out to commit to at least 6 months of treatment.
What is a Psy.D.?
A Psy.D. is a doctorate in clinical psychology. Clinical psychologists have training in multiple modalities of therapy, research, cognitive assessment, and mental health diagnosis. Training is typically 4-5 years of graduate courses, 1 year of a formal internship and 1-2 years of postdoctoral training. I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology at Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University. Learn more about my training and experience.
