Therapy Approach & Services

I believe an intentional and honest relationship with someone trained to help others can provide insight to change our perspective and be a powerful force to bring freedom from pain and suffering. I utilize Psychodynamic and Emotion-Focused Therapy in my work and have experience working with a variety of issues.

We provide therapy for a variety of issues including the following areas of speciality.

Depression & Anxiety

Depression or anxiety can be overwhelming and often affects not only our mental but also our physical health. If you find yourself regularly feeling down, hopeless, fearful, tense or notice you are coping in unhelpful ways such as avoiding your feelings or difficult situations, therapy can give you tools to improve how you cope with difficult feelings.

Men’s Issues

I work with male clients experiencing a variety of issues such as relationship challenges, pornography use, chronic stress and struggles with work-family life balance. No one likes feeling stuck or directionless — therapy can be an effective way to find support and healthy perspective.

Faith and Spirituality

For many, faith is something that is not only important, but helps define them. Because of this, difficulties surrounding faith can be extremely disorienting. Whether you have experienced relational/spiritual trauma in your church community, or are going through a season of spiritual difficulty, a competent and sensitive therapist can be a helpful companion to navigate what can be a lonely and painful process.

Couples Therapy

If you are experiencing relationship difficulties, couples therapy can be a powerful way to improve your communication and connection with your partner. Being stuck in a pattern of hurt and anger with the person most important to you is a difficult and unproductive place to be. Seeking couples therapy can be an important way to improve your relationship.

If you are struggling or just feel stuck, I would encourage you to reach out for a free phone consultation — it takes a lot of courage to take this step, but it can be the first move to making an improvement in your life!
